Some of Our Lighted Panel Signs Include:
Fluorescent vs. LED Light Boxes
Most of these units utilize LED, (light emitting diode) technology as the primary light source but we also offer traditional fluorescent lighting fixtures.
Electrical consumption is important factor in purchasing light box panels. For electrical savings, CFL or LED light boxes are better than traditional T5 light boxes. When ran 24/7/365, traditional T5/fluorescent light boxes last about 1.5 years; however, they are easy to remove. On the other hand, LEDs are more difficult to remove since they are very thin and generally need to be returned to the factory for bulb replacement. When ran 24/7/365, LED light boxes last about 5 years. This makes it best for smaller light boxes. Since larger sizes tend to be more permanent fixtures, fluorescent bulbs are more ideal. Fluorescent bulbs tend to be brighter than the LED bulbs. Fluorescent light boxes are the cheapest; they have the lowest initial purchase price but can easily cost more than the most expensive LED light box after 4 to 5 years of use due to bulb replacements. Fluorescent tubes are a great lighting option for those wishing to pay less upfront. LEDs, however, provide long term savings, great performance, variable colors, and do not contain any hazardous materials. It is easy to see why so many businesses and home owners are turning to LEDs as their number one choice for lighting.
