Wisconsin: The registration number and expiration decals must be displayed as follows: ~ Decals to be placed on each side of the forward half of the vessel. ~ Numbers must be read from left to right. ~ Numbers must be at least 3" high block letters. ~ Numbers must contrast with the color of the vessel. ~ Numbers must be clearly visible and legible. ~ A space at least 2" wide between letters and numbers. ~ Two-toned and camouflage are not legal and should not be used. ~ Expiration Decals must be affixed three inches behind (toward the stern) and in line with the number.
